Man stabbed by hitchhiker in Henderson, suspect also injured

A man was stabbed after picking up a hitchhiker near Searchlight on Thursday afternoon, according to Las Vegas police.
According to the male victim and his girlfriend, they picked up a hitchhiker near Searchlight around 4:30 p.m., Metro Lt. William Hatchet said.
They were approaching US 95 and Russell Road when the suspect pulled out a knife and put it to the male victim’s throat. A struggle ensued and the male victim received a stab wound to his arm. He was later taken to Sunrise Hospital, Hatchet said.
The suspect was located in the same area by Henderson police with stab wounds to the side. The suspect was taken to Sunrise Hospital in critical condition, Hatchet said.
