Henderson police on Monday arrested a suspect in the shooting of a 77-year-old man the previous day in what was believed to be a road rage incident.

Police received reports about 6:45 p.m. Sunday of several shots fired into another vehicle near Pacific Avenue and Van Wagenen Street, Henderson Police officer Rod Pena said.

Aaron Keith, 26, was arrested without incident about 2:50 a.m. Monday at his Las Vegas residence. Police said a handgun believed to be the gun used in the shooting was recovered inside the home.

The injured man was shot once in the leg and was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, Pena said. His injuries are not life-threatening.

Keith is being held at the Henderson Detention Center on felony charges of battery with a deadly weapon resulting in substantial bodily harm and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.

Anyone with information about this case can call the Police Department at 702-267-4911 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
