North Las Vegas police investigating shooting that left man hospitalized

North Las Vegas police are investigating a Friday afternoon shooting that left one man hospitalized.

About 3:20 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the 2000 block of Statz Street, near the intersection of West Lake Mead Boulevard and Belmont Street, spokeswoman Ann Cavaricci said. The man was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition.

Cavaricci said no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting and no details about a possible suspect have been released.
