Men shot and killed in car in Henderson ID’d

The two men shot and killed in Henderson Tuesday have been identified by the Clark County coroner.

Lanard Lafare Wilson Jr., 34, and Selvy Auston, 25, were in the front of a blue Nissan Altima that crashed into a Henderson home in the 100 block of Trenier Drive, near Horizon Ridge Parkway and Mission Drive, about 12:20 a.m. Tuesday.

The two men, whose residence remains unknown, were traveling on Trenier Drive with two other men in the back seat. An altercation broke out between the four men and for unknown reasons, one of the other passengers shot and killed Wilson and Auston, according to police.

The two surviving passengers were treated at the scene by paramedics and cooperated with detectives, police said. Their names have not been released because neither of them have been charged or taken into custody, according to Henderson Police Department spokeswoman Michelle French.

The vehicle left the roadway at a slow rate of speed and crashed into the home, causing a fire in the car’s engine compartment. The Henderson Fire Department extinguished the blaze, according to French.
