Updated September 1, 2017 - 3:12 pm

A man drove to a central valley bank parking lot Thursday afternoon and told an employee he was shot in the back, Las Vegas police said.

Police were called about 5:15 p.m. to the Wells Fargo Bank at 4425 Spring Mountain Road, near Arville Street, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Brian Cole said. The man told an employee he didn’t know where the shooting happened.

He was hospitalized at University Medical Center and expected to survive, police said.

Officers found casings that could be related to the shooting in a nearby area at Stober Boulevard and Spring Mountain Road, Cole said.

Police didn’t have a description of the shooter Thursday evening, he said.
