Man dies after being shot at motel near Las Vegas Strip

A man was killed Monday night in a motel near the Las Vegas Strip.

The man was shot at 9 p.m. inside his room at Motel 6, 5058 Dean Martin Drive, police said. He was taken to University Medical Center where he died.

Police said the victim was talking to another man in the parking lot minutes before the shooting.

The shooter, who remains at-large, fled the scene before officers arrived. Police described the shooter as a 35- to 45-year-old black man with long dreadlocks.

The name of the man who was killed will released by the Clark County coroner’s office.
