Coroner identifies man found shot in North Las Vegas home

The Clark County coroner Monday identified the man found shot to death Sunday morning in a North Las Vegas home.

Police found Javarrious Eequinn Brown, 24, of Las Vegas, fatally shot in a North Las Vegas home.

North Las Vegas police officers responded to a report of gunfire about 12:30 a.m. on the 2400 block of Page Street near North Martin Luther King Boulevard and West Carey Avenue, North Las Vegas spokeswoman Ann Cavaricci said.

A preliminary investigation shows a verbal disagreement involving multiple people outside the residence occurred prior to the shooting, Cavaricci said. There were no other reports of injuries, she said.

There are no suspects in custody at this time, but the shooting does not appear to be a random act of violence, Cavaricci said.

Anyone with additional information is urged to call the North Las Vegas Police Department at 702-633-9111 or contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
