Las Vegas police officer arrested on child porn charges
A Las Vegas police officer was arrested on child pornography charges, the department said Saturday.
Officer Ruben Delgadillo was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on Friday to face a charge of possession of child pornography and a charge of distribution of child pornography.
Metropolitan Police Department investigators served a search warrant after receiving allegations of possession of child pornography, police said.
Delgadillo was taken into custody without incident.
He joined the department in July of 2015 and was assigned to the community policing division in the northwest area substation.
Delgadillo will be placed on unpaid administrative leave pending the outcome of the case, police said.
