SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — A preliminary hearing is scheduled in California next week to determine whether a 21-year-old Nevada woman should stand trial on charges stemming from a bomb scare hoax that forced the evacuation of a state park at Lake Tahoe last month.
The Tahoe Daily Tribune reports Alana Blakemore of Gardnerville is to appear in El Dorado County Superior Court Aug. 12 on a felony charge of resisting an executive officer and misdemeanor resisting arrest.
Her alleged accomplice, 24-year-old Hobie Gregory, is scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 20 on misdemeanor resisting arrest.
Authorities say Blakemore threatened to detonate explosives at the state park at Emerald Bay on Tahoe’s southwest shore on July 26 after leading police on a chase on state Highway 89.
A bomb squad determined there were no explosive devices.
Court records don’t list lawyers for the two.
