Updated November 25, 2019 - 5:07 pm

Las Vegas police said a woman was found shot to death in a vehicle in the northeast valley early Monday.

A phone call about 5 a.m. notified police of a crash at East Lake Mead Boulevard and North Lamont Street, Metropolitan Police Department Sgt. Jon Scott said.

When police arrived they found a woman dead of multiple gunshot wounds inside a vehicle, he said. There were no other vehicles at the scene.

Police believe the woman was driving east on Lake Mead Boulevard, just east of Lamb Boulevard, when she was shot. She then drove another quarter-mile before crashing into a wall, police said.

Police are still investigating and had not identified any suspects or a motive as of 5 p.m.
