Man shot, killed after argument in west Las Vegas

The Metropolitan Police Department says a man was shot and killed after an argument early Sunday morning in the west Las Vegas Valley.

According to police, at approximately 4:44 a.m. Sunday, police received a report of a shooting in the 6200 block of Brandywine Way.

Arriving officers located a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the driveway of a residence. Medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene, according to police.

Through the course of the investigation, Metro homicide detectives learned that the victim was involved in a verbal altercation with a male.

Police said that at some point, the victim was shot and the suspect fled the area.

The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.
