Police investigate reported homicide in east Las Vegas Valley

A man was shot and killed Friday night during a fight at an east valley apartment complex, Las Vegas police said.

Officers were called about 7:50 p.m. to report of a shooting at a complex at 3950 Mountain Vista St., west of Boulder Highway, Metropolitan Police Department homicide Lt. Ray Spencer said.

The argument and fight began after four men in a parking lot were approached by two other men, Spencer said. One of the men shot another, who was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he died, Spencer added.

In a news release Saturday afternoon, police said the man was shot during a fight between himself and two other men. Metro said those two men fled before police arrived.

The Clark County coroner’s office will identify the man who was fatally shot after his family has been notified.

Anyone with information about the shooting can contact Metro’s homicide section at 702-828-3521, or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
