Man shot to death Saturday night in east Las Vegas, police say

A man was fatally shot late Saturday night in east Las Vegas.

An initial investigation revealed that the man had been in an altercation with “several other people” about a vehicle, police said in a news release, before an unidentified person approached them and began shooting.

Officers were called to the scene in the 5100 block of East Twain Avenue at 10:40 p.m., and found the man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police did not provide further details.

The victim is expected to be identified by the Clark County coroner’s office after family is notified.
