Man killed Thursday in 7-Eleven parking lot identified

The Clark County coroner has released the identity of the man shot and killed in a central valley 7-Eleven parking lot early Thursday morning.

Las Vegas resident Michael Demaret, 24, was found wounded in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven at 2877 E. Charleston Blvd. at about 2 a.m. Thursday. Demaret was taken to the University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said Demaret appeared to be unarmed when he was shot.
