Man fatally shot in North Las Vegas

A 53-year-old man whose body was found Tuesday inside a North Las Vegas home had been shot to death.

Officers were conducting a welfare check around 3 p.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of Stanley Avenue, near East Owens Avenue and North Bruce Street, when they found the man dead inside a house, according to a statement from North Las Vegas police Sgt. Jeff Wall.

The Clark County coroner’s office identified the man as Ricardo Ramirez-Rios of North Las Vegas. He died from a gunshot wound to the head and neck.

Wall said no one else was inside the home. He also said no arrests had been made as of Friday afternoon.
