Family raising money for burial costs after Las Vegas man shot to death

The family of the man who died Wednesday after he was found unconscious in a car at an apartment complex is raising money to ship his body back to the Virgin Islands, where he was born, for burial.

Merral Stowe, 27, was found unconscious in a car just after midnight at the Shadow Ridge apartment complex at 2300 Arville St. He was transported to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead from multiple gunshot wounds to the head.

Stowe’s family has created two separate GoFundMe campaigns to cover shipping costs and funeral arrangments for him.

“God has a plan…. He has chosen Merral at this time…..And only he knows why,” one GoFundMe description reads.

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating Stowe’s death.
