Updated June 8, 2018 - 6:37 pm

One man was killed and two others were injured in a North Las Vegas shooting Friday morning.

Gunfire erupted inside a fourplex at 2500 Ellis St., near Carey Avenue, about 5:15 a.m. Friday, North Las Vegas police said.

The shooter fled the scene before officers arrived, leaving a 33-year-old man dead inside the residence, police said. A 13-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man were taken to University Medical Center, where both were expected both to survive, police said in a Friday evening release.

Witnesses reported hearing gunshots in the back apartment where the shooting happened, the release said.

Detectives are investigating a motive, but the three knew their attacker, the release said.

No shooter has been arrested. Anyone with information is asked to call North Las Vegas police at 702-633-9111 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.

The man’s death marked the 95th killing in Clark County this year, and the 12th homicide investigated by North Las Vegas police. The victim will be identified by the Clark County coroner after his family has been notified.
