Vince Neil to plead guilty to misdemeanor in incident with ex-girlfriend
Rocker Vince Neil will plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge and pay a $1,000 fine in connection with allegations of domestic violence involving his ex-girlfriend.
As part of a plea deal, Clark County prosecutors will drop one count of domestic battery in exchange for Neil’s guilty plea to disorderly conduct, District Attorney David Roger confirmed.
Neil, 50, was seen yelling obscenities at and poking former local television entertainment reporter Alicia Jacobs at the Las Vegas Hilton in March.
Neil’s defense attorney, David Chesnoff, who has represented celebrity socialite Paris Hilton and singer-songwriter Bruno Mars in their local criminal cases, said, "Mr. Neil is sorry he raised his voice."
A bench trial before Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa was scheduled for Nov. 7, when Neil is expected to enter his guilty plea.
Jacobs, 45, was with several friends who witnessed the Mötley Crüe frontman’s obscenity-laced tirade on Jacobs and the poking, which reportedly left a bruise. A photo of the bruise was posted on the gossip website TMZ.com.
Neil had denied ever touching Jacobs.
Neil and Jacobs split in March after a seven-month relationship. At the time, Jacobs issued a statement that the breakup was because of "the decisions Vince continues to make."
Following the incident, Jacobs split ways with KSNV-TV, Channel 3.
Neil, who has said publicly that he has given up alcohol and drugs but has been seen partying around town, served a 10-day stint in the county jail in May for a 2010 DUI charge. His criminal history also includes a previous jail term for vehicular manslaughter in California.
Neil moved to the valley in the mid-1990s and has several businesses here, including restaurants, tattoo shops and a charter airline service.
