Teen found fatally shot in North Las Vegas identified

A 17-year-old boy found shot dead on a North Las Vegas street Wednesday night was identified Thursday as Heath Walton of Las Vegas.

Walton’s body was found at about
10:30 p.m. in the 2500 block of Reynolds Avenue, near Civic Center Drive and Owens Avenue.

Police said the teen was standing near his vehicle, which was parked in front of a friend’s home on Reynolds, when an unknown person approached and fired multiple shots, striking him once in the torso.

This was the third slaying in North Las Vegas this year.
