Suspect in Phoenix slaying arrested in Las Vegas

A suspect in a slaying in Phoenix was arrested early Sunday in Las Vegas.

Wade Mitchell Ridley, 53, was arrested about 4:30 a.m. after a traffic stop in the 4400 block of Paradise Road, near the Hard Rock Hotel.

Officer Marcus Martin, a police spokesman, said officers recognized the description of Ridley and the vehicle he was driving from a Phoenix Police Department bulletin.

“Our officers did a great job of remembering the vehicle and his description,” Martin said. “They spotted him and took him into custody without incident.”

Ridley was wanted in Phoenix in connection with the death of his girlfriend, police said. He was booked into Clark County Detention Center pending extradition to Phoenix.
