Sun Valley man indicted on child pornography charges

RENO — A 49-year-old Sun Valley man has been indicted on a federal child pornography charge.

The Reno Gazette-Journal reported Thursday that Archie Russell Martin was indicted earlier this month in federal court in Reno.

He pleaded not guilty Wednesday during an initial court appearance. His trial is scheduled to begin on Jan. 24.

The indictment alleges Martin knowingly received child pornography on or about Feb. 12.

Martin was indicted in Reno federal court of possessing a machine gun in May 2002, but the case was dropped.
