Police: Suspect, 66, arrested after wife shot, killed

A woman was fatally shot Monday morning in the central valley by her husband, Las Vegas police said.

The identity of the woman was not released.

Police said that at 11:12 a.m. they responded to the 1700 block of Robin Street, near Bonanza Road and J Street, and discovered a woman who was shot in the head and a man, who was identified as the woman’s husband. The woman died at University Medical Center.

During their investigation, police determined that 66-year-old Robert Marshall shot his wife and then called 911.

Police said Monday evening that Marshall was being booked at the Clark County Detention Center on one recommended count of murder with the use of a deadly weapon.
