Police find body of man with gunshot wounds

The body of man who died from gunshot wounds was discovered Tuesday morning in the southwest valley, Las Vegas police said.

The identity of the man was not released.

Police said that at 8:25 a.m. they responded to the 4500 block of South Decatur Boulevard, near Harmon Avenue, where they discovered the body near an apartment building.

Police said earlier that morning at 12:15 a.m., they went to a nearby area to investigate reports of shots fired. At that time, officers were not able to find any evidence of shots fired. Investigators are trying to determine whether the two incidents are connected.
