North Las Vegas utilities employee arrested in stolen payments probe

A 40-year-old employee with the city’s utilities department was arrested Thursday on one felony count of theft, North Las Vegas police said.

Angela Bozarth, an 11-year-employee with North Las Vegas, was arrested after a two-week investigation into the disappearance of cash from the utilities department at 2200 Civic Center Drive.

Bozarth worked as a customer service supervisor.

Police did not disclose how much money Bozarth is accused of stealing. Police allege she pocketed cash received in payment of utility bills after applying it to customers’ accounts.

She has been placed on paid administrative leave.
