North Las Vegas police arrest teen in fatal shooting

North Las Vegas police arrested a 17-year-old Thursday in connection with the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old man Wednesday night.

Police said Ryan Mcallister Jr., of North Las Vegas, was booked into the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center on one count of murder with a deadly weapon. Police said when Mcallister is certified as an adult, he will be transferred to the North Las Vegas Detention Center.

Police accuse Mcallister of fatally shooting Roberto Alejandro Medina, of North Las Vegas. Medina was killed about 6:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Red Sox Avenue, near Carey Avenue and Revere Street.

Police said Mcallister and Medina had an ongoing feud. Police said Medina went to Mcallister’s home on Red Sox Avenue where Mcallister shot at Medina from his garage while Medina approached the home. Medina also lived in the neighborhood.

Mcallister fled after the shooting. Medina was pronounced dead at the scene.

Late Thursday night, police said they are seeking 18-year-old Danny Pollard Jr. Pollard is called a person of interest by police. He is described as 6 feet tall and weighs about 160 pounds.
