Motorcyclist dies in northwest valley crash

A 62-year-old motorcyclist died after hitting a center median on northbound U.S. Highway 95 north of Ann Road on Thursday, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.

His identity was not released.

Trooper Loy Hixson said that at 6:25 p.m. the man, who was riding a Harley-Davidson, went from the left lane to the center median made of dirt and rocks, where he was thrown from the motorcycle.

He was transported to University Medical Center where he died.
