Marshal hurt in Clark County courtroom scuffle

A Nevada court officer was hurt in a videotaped scuffle with a 36-year-old woman who fought being taken into custody following a mental health court hearing.

Records showed Latasha Williams remained held Thursday at the Clark County jail following the Tuesday outburst in Clark County District Court Judge Jackie Glass’ courtroom.

Clark County courts spokeswoman Mary Ann Price released the videotaped court record showing several uniformed court marshals struggling with Williams.

The injured marshal was off-duty Thursday, receiving treatment for a knee injury.

Williams faces child endangerment and kidnapping charges stemming from allegations she threatened two children in a Las Vegas apartment complex.
