Man shot, killed at apartment complex

A man was pronounced dead early Sunday at University Medical Center a few hours after Las Vegas police officers responded to a shots-fired call at the Avila Park Apartments in the 1800 block of North Decatur Boulevard.

Police arrived at the apartments a little after midnight and found the wounded man. He was transported to UMC, where he died.

The victim’s identity was being withheld pending notification of next of kin and an autopsy by the Clark County coroner’s office.
