Man shot during robbery attempt in central valley

Las Vegas police are looking for two suspects who fled on foot Friday night after a botched robbery that left one man wounded in the central valley.

The victim was approached about 6 p.m. by two men who demanded his money on Swenson Street near Twain Avenue, police said. When the man refused and tried to run, he was shot in the back. He was transported to Sunrise Hospital and was in stable condition Friday evening, police said.

Suspect descriptions were not available.
