Man sentenced to life in prison in 2018 fatal shooting in Reno

RENO — A Reno man has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole in connection with a fatal shooting last year.

Washoe County prosecutors say 57-year-old Kenneth Earl Davis was found guilty of murder with the use of a deadly weapon, robbery and grand larceny of a motor vehicle.

Davis was accused in the death of 56-year-old Eric Bobele of Reno last October.

The Reno Gazette Journal reports that Davis had recently moved from California at the time and was staying at Bobele’s home until he could get his own place.

Authorities say Davis fatally shot Bobele, then stole the victim’s car and fled to California.

Davis was ultimately located in California and extradited to Nevada to face murder charges.
