Man killed in Thursday auto accident identified

A 39-year-old man killed Thursday night after crashing his car into a light pole was identified as Michael Feil, 39, of Las Vegas.

The accident happened at 11:22 p.m. on Torrey Pines Drive, north of Smoke Ranch Road, Las Vegas police said.

Feil lost control of the 2000 Mazda Miata as he was driving north on Torrey Pines, crashing into the pole and then into a block wall, police said. Feil died at the scene.
