Man killed, another arrested after Flamingo Road collision
One man was killed and another man was arrested Monday morning after a head-on vehicle collision east of the Strip.
Las Vegas police said the incident happened about 6:15 a.m. on Flamingo Road near Swenson Street.
Alcibiades Felix, 29, was driving a 2008 Lexus IS350 on Flamingo when he lost control of the vehicle, crossed the median and struck a 1995 Chevrolet Geo Metro headed in the other direction.
The 54-year-old driver of the Geo Metro was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he died.
Felix was arrested on a suspected drunken driving causing death charge and booked at the county jail.
The county coroner’s office will identify the dead man after next of kin is notified.
