Las Vegas murder case to be on NBC’s ‘Dateline’ on Friday

Theresa Insana’s unsolved Las Vegas murder will be featured on Friday’s “Dateline” television program on NBC, and Las Vegas cold-case detectives hope the show sparks a memory or two.

According to police, Insana was reported missing in October 2004. Her body was found the next month ; it had been dumped in a drainage area near Hualapai Way and Peace Way.

According to reports published at the time in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the 26-year-old’s Summerlin home showed no signs of a forced entry, her Hyundai Sonata was in the driveway, and she left her car keys, purse and credit cards at home, and left Frankie, her cocker spaniel puppy.

Police urge anyone with information to call the department’s Cold Case Detail at 828-COLD (2653).
