Las Vegas man shot, killed in domestic dispute

A man was shot and killed by his girlfriend during a domestic dispute Monday morning in the southeast valley.

Las Vegas police said the shooting happened about 10 a.m. at 4450 Karen Ave., near Sahara Avenue and Lamb Boulevard.

The man, who was not identified, died at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center about 10:45 a.m.

The woman was arrested and will be booked at Clark County Detention Center, police said.

The shooting occurred at the Karen Pines apartments. Several neighbors said they did not know the man or the woman involved in the shooting.

One neighbor, who declined to give her name, said the woman arrested appeared to be in her 30s. The neighbor said the woman lived at the apartment with her boyfriend, a man who appeared to be in his late 40s, along with several children.

The neighbor said she was surprised by the shooting because she’s never seen the couple act hostile toward each other.

“I’ve never seen her angry. Never seen her yelling. She’s just a nice lady.”
