Henderson man arrested in toddler’s death

A 27-year-old Henderson man was arrested Wednesday in the June death of his girlfriend’s young son.

Henderson police said Michael Alan Lee beat 2-year-old Brodie Aschenbrenner to death.

The boy was found by his mother about 9 a.m. June 15 at an apartment at 2900 Sunridge Heights Parkway, near Seven Hills Drive.

Police said investigators later determined that Brodie died from severe injuries to his head and body and Lee was alone with the boy when the child was injured.

Lee was booked into the Henderson Detention Center on murder and child abuse charges. He was being held without bail.

This was the second slaying in Henderson this year.
