Good Samaritan struck by car on U.S. 95; two arrested

One man is in critical condition after he was struck by a white Mitsubishi on U.S. Highway 95 at Decatur Boulevard early Thursday.

According to Nevada Highway Patrol, the man was hit after exiting his car to help a driver who hit a wall after losing control of her Toyota Scion about 4:10 a.m.

The driver of the Mitsubishi then fled the scene and pulled over in a Del Taco parking lot off of U.S. 95 and Jones Boulevard to change two flat tires.

Witnesses pointed out the car to police and the driver was arrested. The driver of the Scion was taken into custody for DUI.
