Coroner identifies teen killed in hit-and-run accident Sunday

The Clark County coroner’s office has identified the 17-year-old girl who died after a hit-and-run accident early Sunday morning.

Alexis Monasterio was found in the center westbound lane of East Charleston Boulevard near Stillwater Bridge Street about midnight, according to Las Vegas police.

The accident is still under investigation. This is the 26th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas police jurisdiction this year.
