Arizona man sentenced in fatal stabbing

A seven-year prison sentence was imposed Tuesday for a Kingman, Ariz., man who stabbed and killed another man who was dressed as a woman in a drugs-for-sex exchange gone bad.
The punishment for 20-year-old Eric Depierro was mandated in a plea agreement reducing a second-degree murder charge to a manslaughter conviction.
Defense attorney Shawn Hamp told the court that another party arranged the October meeting between Depierro and the victim, 54-year-old Mario Francisco Izquierdo-Diaz. He said Depierro defended himself against a violent sexual attack perpetrated by Izquierdo-Diaz.
Prosecutor Ken Skousen said the victim was confused about his gender, had breast implants and was wearing female evening wear during the agreed-upon encounter.
He also said the victim, who suffered four stab wounds and lacerations about his neck, had methamphetamine in his bloodstream at the time of his death.
