Southwest to add daily flight to Flint
February 6, 2013 - 2:02 am
Southwest Airlines, the market leader at McCarran International Airport, will add a new destination with a once-daily nonstop flight to Flint, Mich., on Aug. 11. Currently, there are only connecting flights between Las Vegas and Flint.
On April 14, Southwest will take over service to Flint now flown by subsidiary AirTran Airways.
Currently, AirTran has flights from there to Baltimore/Washington and Orlando and Tampa in Florida.
Southwest has been phasing out AirTran a couple of airports at a time. A conversion date for McCarran has not been announced, but Southwest already has switched some nonstops to Atlanta from AirTran to Southwest.
