Marketing group purchases motorsports industry show

The Specialty Equipment Marketing Association has added a trade show to its calendar.

SEMA, which draws 125,000 to its Las Vegas show each year, finalized an agreement to purchase the International Motorsports Industry Show, the organization said Monday.

The IMIS racing trade show has been held annually in Indianapolis since 2009. It will be consolidated with the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show, and will occupy the entire Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis for three days in December 2013.
