Entertainment director Choudhry resigns from The Cosmopolitan

Rehan Choudhry is stepping down as director of entertainment and special events at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and will leave the luxury resort effective April 9.

Choudhry, 32, moved from Atlantic City to Las Vegas before The Cosmopolitan’s opening in 2010 to oversee booking of acts at the hotel-casino’s many venues including the Chelsea and Book & Stage.

“The Cosmopolitan will continue to bring acclaimed entertainment acts to Las Vegas,” the resort said in a statement Tuesday. “While Rehan Choudhry is stepping down, the core team (that) has been on board since preopening, including our internal staff and partners such as C3 Presents, will continue providing an exceptional guest experience.”

The Cosmopolitan said Choudhry’s departure will not affect its current strategy.

Choudhry was unavailable for comment.
