Allegiant adds nonstop flights between Las Vegas and Boise

Allegiant Travel Co. will add Boise, Idaho, to its route system on Oct. 12 with two flights a week to Las Vegas.
The company’s Allegiant Air unit already goes to Idaho Falls. Although one of Allegiant’s key strategic pillars has been to fly nonstop between small cities and its key destinations, such as Las Vegas or Phoenix, while avoiding head-to-head competition with other airlines, the Boise route will compete directly against Southwest, with its two daily nonstops and four other flights with an intermediate stop.
Also, Allegiant will begin flying between Boise and Honolulu on Feb. 9. A Honolulu-Spokane, Wash., route will begin on Feb. 8
