NV Energy to accept SolarGenerations applications Nov. 1-15

NV Energy will accept applications for SolarGenerations rebates from Nov. 1 through Nov. 15 at 5 p.m. Accepted applicants will receive rebates to offset the cost of installing photovoltaic panels that convert sunlight into electricity.

Residential customers, small businesses and schools are eligible to apply. If a category receives more applications than it can honor, winners will be determined by lottery.

In the most recent application period of April 22 to May 17, 279 residences and businesses applied and 175 rebates were granted. Of schools, 110 applied and 57 were granted.

The SolarGenerations program, now in its 10th year, offers 50 cents per watt for residences and businesses and $1 per watt for schools. Rebates last application period were $1.25 to $1.35 for homes and businesses and $2.80 to $2.10 for schools.
