College will offer accounting ‘bootcamp’

The College of Southern Nevada will offer an accounting and bookkeeping bootcamp for nonaccountants starting Monday at its Sahara West Campus, 2409 Las Verdes St.

Classes, designed for people with little or no financial or accounting background, will meet 6 to 9 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays through Oct. 29.

The will cover choosing a business entity and creating a chart of accounts; recording revenue; accounts receivable; processing purchase orders; handling accounts payable; and handling payroll and financial statements.
