Biodiesel expo open to public; retired senator to speak

The public is invited to attend the National Biodiesel Conference and Expo at The Mirage conference center on Wednesday free of charge.
Retired U.S. Sen. Byron Dorgan, widely recognized as a national leader and expert in energy and agriculture issues, will give the keynote address at 10:30 a.m. Elected to Congress in 1980, Dorgan was an ardent biodiesel champion and continues to work toward an energy-secure America as chairman of the Strategic Energy Policy Initiative.
The conference runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Las Vegas residents are required to show local ID at check-in. Biodiesel-powered vehicles are on display in the Expo Hall.
