The expo released a statement Thursday saying recent developments such as participant cancellations and the World Health Organization labeling the coronavirus as a global pandemic, have led it to postpone the event for the safety of its members and attendees.
The annual event was scheduled to take place April 25-30 and was estimated to draw in about 3,500 attendees, according to the Las Vegas Visitors and Convention Authority.
The Nightclub Bar Show Las Vegas has been postponed from this month until June as a precaution due to concerns about the coronavirus.
Digital Signage Expo, which was scheduled at Las Vegas Convention Center March 31 through April 3 has been postponed until late summer/early fall.
The four-day convention had been scheduled for March 30-April 2 at Caesars Palace.
The convention was expected to take place April 18-22 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The show expected about 90,000 to attend.
The organization LPTV Spectrum Rights Coalition pulled the plug Wednesday on hosting an industry event during this year’s National Association of Broadcasters 2020 convention.
