Global Gaming Expo cancels Las Vegas show

Updated July 8, 2020 - 12:35 pm

Global Gaming Expo canceled its 2020 Las Vegas show.

Citing global travel restrictions and the spreading new coronavirus, American Gaming Association President and CEO Bill Miller said in a Wednesday statement “we simply cannot hold an in-person G2E this year.”

G2E was scheduled to take place Oct. 5-8 and will be Oct. 4-7, 2021, instead. The show brought nearly 30,000 gaming industry professionals to Las Vegas last year.

Just three weeks ago, the show announced June 17 it was still on track “to deliver a safe and productive show” beginning Oct.5.

Las Vegas has seen a burst of canceled or postponed conferences since March.
