Monte Carlo president to lead casino marketing division

Monte Carlo President Anton Nikodemus, who oversaw the Strip resort’s recovery from a rooftop fire in 2008, has been named president and chief operating officer of MGM Resorts International’s casino marketing division.

Nikodemus will be responsible for strategic planning for casino marketing, including marketing development nationally and internationally, for all MGM Resorts properties.

“The creation of the new position is rooted in the MGM Resorts strategic plan’s focus on growth,” said Bill Hornbuckle, MGM Resorts chief marketing officer.

Nikodemus has been with MGM Resorts since 2005.
