Global Gaming Expo sees attendance rise by 7 percent

Attendance at the 2012 Global Gaming Expo increased by almost 7 percent over 2011, an audit of the trade show and conference shows.

The G2E, which was held at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in October, drew 15,708 attendees. In the past two years, the G2E has attracted more than 24,820 visitors.

The American Gaming Association and Reed Exhibitions produce G2E.

In a postshow survey, 82 percent of the attendees said that they were satisfied with the 2012 event, and 78 percent said they would likely return to G2E.

American Gaming Association President Frank Fahrenkopf, Jr. said the growth in G2E attendance offered an encouraging sign on the gaming industry’s health.
