Full Tilt Poker founder Bitar surrenders in N.Y.
The founder of Internet poker company Full Tilt Poker, whose U.S. operations were shut down after criminal charges were brought last year, has pleaded not guilty in New York.
Raymond Bitar, who is originally form Los Angeles, was arrested Monday as he arrived at Kennedy Airport.
A magistrate judge ordered him held until a $2.5 million bond could be secured.
A prosecutor called Bitar a flight risk after his return from Ireland to face charges brought a year ago. He said Bitar faces decades in prison if convicted of conspiracy and wire fraud charges.
